Overview

LaunchNotes uses WorkOS to provide secure Single Sign-On (SSO) and SAML authentication for team member logins. WorkOS is an industry-leading Identity and Access Management platform that supports any OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML-compliant identity provider, ensuring secure and seamless access to your LaunchNotes account.

Because your LaunchNotes data is among your company’s most critical assets, we take security seriously and offer robust options to manage user authentication.

What Services Are Supported?

Out of the box, LaunchNotes supports team member login via:

  • Email and password

  • Google account

  • Microsoft account

Additionally, LaunchNotes integrates with any Identity Provider (IdP) that supports SAML 2.0, including:

  • Okta

  • PingID

  • Microsoft ADFS

  • OneLogin

  • And others

Is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Supported?

LaunchNotes does not currently offer built-in two-factor authentication (2FA) by default.

However, when using SAML authentication with your organization’s IdP, you can enforce 2FA at the identity provider level to meet your organization’s security requirements.

Which Plans Include SSO and SAML?

  • Google and Microsoft social logins are available on all LaunchNotes plans at no additional cost.

  • SAML-based authentication through your organization’s IdP requires a Premium or Enterprise plan. Dedicated SAML connections can be added to your account for an additional fee.
