Objective

This runbook covers how to configure the Issue Statistics gadget for a Jira dashboard to monitor the number of issues associated with the most frequently used labels in your project.

Requirements

  1. Permission to create and edit a dashboard within Jira

Overview

  1. Access your Jira project.

  2. Click on "Dashboards".

  3. Create a new dashboard or edit an existing dashboard:

  4. Add the Issue Statistics gadget

    1. Search for and select your Jira project

    2. Select "Statistic Type: Labels".

    3. Optionally increase the number of results to up to 50

    4. Optionally include resolved issues

    5. Optionally select to automatically refresh the dashboard every 15 minutes

    6. Click "Save".

  5. Click "Done" for the dashboard when finished.
