This guide will walk you through setting up Zapier to enable various triggers and actions for your LaunchNotes account. With Zapier, you can automate tasks between LaunchNotes and other apps, making it easier to manage your announcements and subscriber activities.

Getting Started

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

  • A LaunchNotes account with administrative access.

  • A Zapier account

Accessing the Zapier Integration

  1. Login to LaunchNotes: Navigate to your LaunchNotes dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings: Click on the settings gear icon in the top right corner.

  3. Select Integrations: From the settings menu, choose ‘Integrations’.

  4. Find Zapier: Click on the ‘Zapier’ integration.

Configuring Zapier with LaunchNotes

In the Zapier integration section, you’ll find the necessary configuration details to connect LaunchNotes with Zapier. Follow these steps:

Generate API Token: If not already done, generate a management API token for Zapier integration. Copy this key as you’ll need it to authenticate in Zapier.

Setting Up Triggers and Actions

LaunchNotes provides several triggers and actions to automate your workflow. Here’s how you can set them up:

Triggers

  1. Subscriber Created Trigger: This trigger activates when a subscriber is confirmed in LaunchNotes

  2. Announcement Scheduled Trigger: This trigger activates when an announcement is scheduled in LaunchNotes.

  3. Announcement Published Trigger: This trigger activates when an announcement is published in LaunchNotes.

Actions

  1. Create Subscriber Action: This action creates a new subscriber in LaunchNotes.

  2. Create Announcement Draft Action: This action creates a new announcement draft in LaunchNotes.

Example Use Cases

  1. Automatically Notify Subscribers When an Announcement is Scheduled: Use the ‘Announcement Scheduled’ trigger to send an email or Slack notification to your subscribers.

  2. Automate Social Media Posts When an Announcement is Published: Use the ‘Announcement Published’ trigger to automatically post updates to LinkedIn and other social media channels.

  3. Streamline Announcement Creation: Use the ‘Create Announcement Draft’ action to automate the creation of announcement drafts based on specific criteria or events in other apps like Azure DevOps.
