Overview

The LaunchNotes Embedded Widget now allows you to collect feedback directly from your users within your website or app. This reduces the friction of providing feedback, helping you capture more relevant insights from your customers and stakeholders. Feedback collected through the embedded widget is automatically sent to your feedback inbox in the management portal, pre-organized based on the location where it was submitted (e.g., a specific announcement, roadmap item, or idea).

Setup Steps

  1. Install the Latest Version of the Embed: Follow the instructions in this article to update to the latest version of the LaunchNotes Embedded Widget.

  2. Enable Feedback Collection: In your project settings, toggle on feedback collection as described in this article. Feedback forms in the embed are controlled at the project level using the same setting as feedback forms for the published audience page.

  3. Start Collecting Feedback: Once both steps are complete, feedback forms will automatically appear within the embedded widget.

Form Details

  • Users are required to provide an email address when submitting feedback.

  • Unlike the feedback forms on the published audience page, embedded forms do not include reaction options for announcements and roadmap items. Sentiment analysis is still applied, and aggregate sentiment data can be viewed in your dashboard.

  • reCAPTCHA is automatically enabled to prevent bot submissions.

Access Control

  • Only users with Admin permissions can enable feedback collection and install the embedded widget.

  • All users with access to the management portal can view submitted feedback.
