Setup
To connect your LaunchNotes account to your Atlassian account go to your Username > User Preferences > Connected accounts > Atlassian > Connect.
Note: Connecting to your Atlassian account is done per LaunchNotes project, per LaunchNotes user.
For detailed instructions on how to set this up read the following:
Click on your username in the bottom right corner of your LaunchNotes account page, then click User preferences.
Navigate to Connected accounts under User preferences. Then, click Connect to link your Atlassian account with LaunchNotes.
If you have multiple Atlassian sites, select the one you'd like to connect from the drop-down menu, then click Accept.
Common questions
"I see a screen saying my site admin must authorize LaunchNotes"
Some Atlassian organizations require an admin to approve new apps before anyone can connect them. If you see this message, LaunchNotes can't approve it from our side — an admin on your Atlassian account has to do it.
Send this to whoever manages your Jira/Atlassian admin settings:
Please approve the LaunchNotes app for our Jira site. Go to admin.atlassian.net → Settings → Apps → App requests, find LaunchNotes, and approve it. The permissions it requests are listed on that screen.
Once they've approved it, return to the connection screen and finish authorizing your account.
"Confluence says I need to reconnect, but my Atlassian account is already connected"
Confluence needs a permission that wasn't part of the original Atlassian connection. If you connected your account before Confluence support was added, reconnect it: User Preferences → Connected accounts → Atlassian → Connect. Your Jira connection isn't affected.
