Summary
You can select multiple subscribers from your filtered list and perform bulk actions like updating categories, changing channels, or removing subscribers. This saves time when you need to make the same change to many subscribers at once.
Steps
Open your LaunchNotes workspace and navigate to Subscribers.
(Optional) Use filters to narrow down your subscriber list to the group you want to modify.
Select subscribers by:
Clicking the checkbox next to each email address
Clicking the checkbox in the header row to select all visible subscribers on that page. Once selected, you'll need to click "select all matching subscribers" to select all.
Once selected, click the Actions dropdown in the top left.
Choose your desired action:
Edit categories
Edit regions
Confirm unconfirmed emails
Unsubscribe
Resubscribe unsubscribed emails
Delete subscriber
Follow the prompts to complete your chosen action.
Editing categories for multiple subscribers
When you need to update which announcement categories subscribers follow, you can add, replace, or clear categories in bulk:
Select the subscribers you want to update using the checkboxes.
Click Actions > Edit categories.
In the "Edit categories" modal, choose your operation:
Add categories: Adds new categories to subscribers without removing their existing ones
Replace categories: Removes all existing categories and replaces them with your selection
Clear categories: Removes all category subscriptions from the selected subscribers
If adding or replacing, select the categories from the dropdown menu. You can choose multiple categories.
Review the confirmation message that shows how many subscribers will be affected (e.g., "2 subscribers will have the new categories added").
Click Edit subscribers to apply the changes
In the example above, 2 subscribers will have the category Javascript SDK added.
When to use each category operation:
Add categories: Use when subscribers need to follow additional categories but should keep their current ones (e.g., adding "Product Updates" to everyone who follows "API")
Replace categories: Use when you're reorganizing categories and need to completely change what subscribers follow (e.g., replacing "General" with more specific categories like "Features" and "Bug Fixes")
Clear categories: Use when removing all category-specific subscriptions, often before reassigning subscribers to new categories or before removing them entirely
Notes & important info
Bulk actions apply immediately and cannot be undone, so double-check your selection before confirming
If the Actions dropdown doesn't appear, confirm you've selected at least one subscriber by clicking their checkbox
