Summary

You can connect your Email Service Provider (ESP) to LaunchNotes so that product announcements are delivered from your trusted company email domain rather than @launchnotes.io. This improves deliverability, maintains brand consistency, and allows you to track email metrics within your own ESP dashboard. LaunchNotes supports Sendgrid, Postmark, Mailgun, SMTP, and HubSpot.

Steps

Before you start:

  • Verify your domain with your Email Service Provider first

  • Ensure you're on the Business plan or above (required for ESP integration with full API access)

To connect your email provider:

  1. In LaunchNotes, navigate to Settings > Integrations

  2. Locate your Email Service Provider from the available integrations

  3. Enter the required credentials under settings

  4. Click Update to complete the connection

To customize your email branding:

  1. Go to Settings > Email Settings > Branding tab

    1. Upload your company logo

    2. Add your brand color (applied to email styling)

    3. Set your preferred font family

    4. Customize call-to-action button text

    5. Configure "from" and "reply-to" email addresses

To test your setup:

  1. In the top right corner of the Email Settings page, click Send test email

  2. Check your inbox for the test email

  3. Verify branding, deliverability, and that metrics appear in your ESP dashboard

Notes & Important Info

  • Custom email colors and logos are available on all plans, but connecting your own ESP requires the Business plan or above with Full API access.

  • When you connect your ESP, subscribers can reply to your announcement emails (they cannot reply to emails from @launchnotes.io).

  • All email metrics and delivery issues will be visible in your ESP dashboard, giving you complete control over deliverability.

Troubleshooting

  • If your ESP doesn't connect, verify that your domain is properly verified with your Email Service Provider first

  • For fully customized email templates beyond the standard options, contact [email protected]

  • If you need help with a specific ESP setup, reference their documentation:
