Summary
You can connect LaunchNotes to Slack to automatically share product announcements in specific channels, keeping your internal teams or B2B customers informed with our Slack Channel Integration.
It is important to note that LaunchNotes offers two Slack integrations that serve two distinct workflows:
Slack Announce: user-pull: individuals subscribe and get updates from the LaunchNotes Slackbot.
Slack Channel Notifications: admin-push: you decide exactly which channel gets which project’s updates.

Steps to setup
Slack Channel Notifications
This integration lets admins push announcements from any LaunchNotes project into specific Slack channels.
Install the integration:
In LaunchNotes, go to Settings > Integrations
Find Slack and click Connect
Sign in to your Slack workspace
Click Allow to grant LaunchNotes permission to access your workspace
Add and configure channels:
In Slack, add the LaunchNotes app to your desired channels. If you have multiple LaunchNotes apps installed, look for the one with the grey ‘L’ on a white background.
There are two ways to connect:
Option A: Type
@launchnotesin the channel
Option B: Use the
/appscommand to add the app
In LaunchNotes, click Connect Channel in the upper-right hand side.
Enter the channel name where you want announcements posted
Select which categories should trigger posts to this channel. If no categories are selected, all announcements will be sent
Click Connect
Remove Slack channels:
Navigate to Settings > Integrations
Find the Slack integration and click Configure
Click the trash icon next to the channel
Click Delete
Sender customizations
By default your Slack announcements will come from LaunchNotes but you can upgrade to a Premium plan for additional branding customizations.

Steps
Go to the Sender customizations section.
Select Use custom branding to enable customization options (Premium plan).
Enter your desired Sender name (this appears as the message sender in Slack).
Choose your Sender icon option:
Custom image: Enter a public image URL (must be 512 x 512 px)
Emoji: Enter any Slack emoji code (e.g., :bell:, :tada:, :rocket:)
Click Save.
Notes & Important Info
Only Slack workspace members can install and configure the Slack Channel Notifications integration.
Troubleshooting
If the LaunchNotes app doesn't appear in your Slack workspace, verify you clicked "Allow" during the installation process.
If announcements aren't posting to channels, confirm the LaunchNotes app has been added to the specific channel.
If you have multiple LaunchNotes apps installed, look for the one with a grey 'L' on a white background.
