Summary

You can make LaunchNotes announcements appear as if they're coming from your company by customizing the sender name and icon in your Slack integration settings. This helps your team recognize announcements as official company updates rather than third-party messages. Custom branding for Slack is available on Premium plans.

Steps

  1. Open your LaunchNotes workspace and navigate to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Click on the Slack integration card (not Control for Slack card).

  3. Connect to a Slack channel if you haven't already.

  4. Go to the Sender customizations section.

  5. Select Use custom branding (available on Premium plans).

  6. Enter your company name in the Sender field.

  7. Choose what type of image to display:

    • Custom image: Enter a public image url to your company icon (must be 512 x 512 px)

    • Emoji: Enter a Slack emoji (e.g., :rocket:, :bell:, :tada:)

  8. Click Save

  • By default, all Slack announcements show "LaunchNotes" as the sender with the LaunchNotes logo. You must upgrade to a Premium plan to have access to custom branding.

  • You can find the name of an emoji by opening Slack's emoji modal. In the below example, the name of the emoji selected would be
