Summary

Subscribers to your LaunchNotes page can choose to receive announcement notifications via Slack DMs instead of email. This feature is automatically enabled β€” there's no setup required from admins. Each subscriber controls which categories they follow and receives updates in their personal Slack messages.

In the below example you can see the subscriber receives a notification from LaunchNotes with an announcement.

Subscribing to Slack notifications via a public page

Once you have your public page set up, your subscribers will be able to receive notifications of your announcements via email or Slack.

Once they toggle on Slack, they will go through the steps to allow the LaunchNotes Announce app to be installed on their Slack.

Once installed, they will receive your product updates announcements from our Slack bot when you publish an announcement to Slack.

For more information on subscribing to a LaunchNotes page, reference Susbcriber management.

Troubleshooting

  • If a subscriber isn't receiving Slack DMs, ask them to verify they've toggled on Slack in their subscription management page and authorized the LaunchNotes Slack app.

  • If the Slack authorization step fails, the subscriber should check with their Slack workspace admin to ensure third-party apps are allowed.

  • Contact LaunchNotes support if issues persist.
