Summary

You can collect structured customer feedback by enabling the Ideas feature on your LaunchNotes page. Ideas creates a dedicated tab where customers can submit feature requests, vote on suggestions, and see what your team is considering building. This helps you gather product input directly from your audience and identify which requests have the most demand.

Steps

Enable Ideas on your public page:

  1. Log into your LaunchNotes workspace

  2. Navigate to Settings > Feedback & Ideas > Scroll down to Ideas section

  3. Toggle on Enable published ideas

  4. Customize the Ideas name field to match how you want to describe this section on your LaunchNotes page (examples: "Under Consideration", "Feature Requests", "Ideas")

  5. Save your changes

The Ideas tab will now appear on your published LaunchNotes page alongside your Announcements and Roadmap tabs.

Manage Ideas from your workspace:

  1. From your workspace navigation, go to Feedback & Ideas > Ideas

  2. View all submitted ideas in a sortable table showing name, categories, feedback count, votes, and publish status

    1. Click into the Idea to edit the content or view all of the feedback and votes.

  3. Use the search bar or filters to find specific ideas

  4. Click the three-dot menu (β€’β€’β€’) next to any idea to publish, unpublish, edit, or archive it

  5. Click + New Idea to manually create ideas on behalf of your customers

Notes & important info

  • Note: Customers can submit new ideas by clicking the "+ New Idea" button on your published page. They'll enter an idea name, optional description, and can assign it to categories you've created.

  • Note: Each idea displays the number of customer feedback comments and total votes, helping you identify which requests have the strongest support.

  • Note: Ideas can be organized using the same categories you use for announcements, making it easier to group feedback by product area or theme.

  • Important: You control which ideas are visible to customers. You can unpublish ideas at any time to remove them from your public page while keeping the submission history in your workspace.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Feedback & Ideas option doesn't appear in Settings, verify you have admin permissions in your workspace.

  • The Ideas tab won't appear on your public page until you toggle on "Enable published ideas" in Settings.

  • Customers must be on your published LaunchNotes page to submit ideas - the submission form is not available via email or other channels.
