How do I use my own domain for my LaunchNotes page?

Host your LaunchNotes page on your own subdomain to reinforce your brand and build customer trust."

Summary

You can host your LaunchNotes page on your own domain (like updates.yourcompany.com or yourcompany.com/updates) by adding a DNS record and contacting LaunchNotes to complete the setup. This requires technical knowledge, so you'll need to work with your engineering team.

Examples

Sub-directory of your existing marketing site

https://www.example.com/launch-notes/

Sub-domain

https://updates.example.com/

Setting up either option will require someone with a technical background. We recommend working with your engineering team on this.

❗This article will cover setting up a custom subdomain. If you're interested in setting up a custom subdirectory, please read this: Setting up a custom subdirectory.

Sub-domain

In order to use the sub-domain option, you must decide what host and sub-domain you plan to use.

For example, updates.example.com

With this decision, you must add a CNAME record in your domain's DNS that points to cname.launchnotes.net

updates.example.com CNAME cname.launchnotes.net

❗Please ensure that the CNAME points to cname.launchnotes.net - we will provision your ingress on your specific account at our end.

It is best if you first contact support at [email protected] or via live chat on what day/time you are making the change, so that we can provision your custom ingress and TLS termination on a schedule that works for both parties. The change will only cause a minute or two of downtime if the effort is coordinated.
