Steps to set up your first announcement

1. Create your announcement

Open your LaunchNotes workspace Announcements and New Draft.

2. Write your announcement

  • Add a clear, benefit-focused title for your announcement.

    e.g. New search filters make finding projects faster

  • Upload an image header or video to the hero section. This will be your main focal point of the announcement, so make it eye-catching!

  • Write a summary explaining what changed and why it matters to customers.

  • Add a screenshot or demo GIF if you have one. In the tool bar, click Add Media to upload.

3. Choose your audience

In the right side under Categorization, select the Categories, Labels or Cohorts to send the announcement to. You must select at least one category.

4. Preview your announcement:

To preview the page: In the top right click Preview to see exactly how your announcement will look to customers.

To preview the email: Under Publishing Controls, click Test email and send to yourself to see how the email will look deployed to your audience.

5. Publish your announcement

In the top right, click Schedule announcement if you’d like it to go out on a certain day and time in the future, or click Publish now to deploy immediately.
